That's a new one to me- she seems healthy and happy...

She seems to be aging as well as any of them

katie8753 said...

She does look good for her age. In fact, she looks more lucid and happy than she did back in 1969.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Yeah...
She looks pretty good for her age.
She still looks pretty "spry". LOL

Not surprising really... she was always a good-looking woman.

katie8753 said...

Hey Brian, thanks for the heads up on this pic.

Looking forward to your show tonight! :)

I'd love to see her speak these days... ya know, some current video footage.

You can tell a lot about a person, when you see/hear them speak.

Video footage would reveal if she's finally dropped a little bit of that "edginess" from her personality.

I suspect... at her age... she's gotta be pretty mellow by now.

It looks like most of these folks have enjoyed (as Manson would call it), a "so-called life", since the 60's.

Judging from the photos on my previous thread... it would appear that Manson himself, may have enjoyed more elements of a "so-called life" than he has heretofore let-on.
Happy wedding photos... and outings with cousin and grandma?

Has Manson been exaggerating all these years, about his home-life disadvantages?
YOU decide! LOL!

Just a thought, that DID cross my mind...

Manson would have us believe, that he had NO chances at a real home-life at all.
Those photos seem to suggest otherwise.

Maybe he burned all his bridges/chances himself?

Who knows...

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Jeez...

Sandy certainly got into "full regalia" for this canyon excursion, huh? LOL

Heck...
The woman is attired in professional khaki outerwear, from head-to-toe!

The guys at the local "safari shop" must have LOVED her! LOL
She must have spent $600 on that uniform.

Maybe next weekend, they're going to Africa to hunt elephants... who knows? LOL!

katie8753 said...

Maybe she thought she was in the Tunisian desert. LOL.

katie8753 said...

Wow, they're all facing the steep downslope of that cliff. Were they gonna race down?

katie8753 said...

Well, now Tex is claiming that he was trying to block the release of the tapes made between him and his attorney because of the pain it might cause the victims' families:

Watson fought the release of the tapes because he said the information that they do contain could open old wounds for the family members of the Manson Family's known victims. Watson argued in court that once the LAPD gains access to the recordings, media access will not be far behind.

Interesting.....

I wonder if Sandra Good keeps in touch with Lynette Fromme? Something tells me that she probably does.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Hi AustinAnn.

I'd be curious to know, if they still communicate myself.

I suspect, they probably do.

katie8753 said...

Hi Austin Ann! How are things in the Capital City? LOL.

I would imagine that they keep in touch. I can't imagine having that much of a connection with someone years ago and just dropping all communication, even if it's just through e-mail, etc.

katie8753 said...

Bobby!!!

I wonder if Sandy blinks now.....

The 3-Hole Wonder twated this:

" When you learn, teach. When you get, give." - Maya Angelou

Well she learned from Travis, and taught him how to be murdered. And she certainly learned how to give. 29 stab wounds, gutting his throat and bullet in the head.

"I will be sorry for the rest of my life - probably longer." - Me, my allocution, May 21, 2013

Yeah I'll bet she is sorry. Sorry it didn't work. But she's got a month or so to think up a better allocution for the next team of brainwashed numbnuts.

Maybe she can play up the sex tape more. The sex tape she recorded without Travis' knowledge. The tape that she used against him as a Plan B in case she was caught.

Hey Bob!

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Hi Bob.

I've read George Stimson's website a handful of times.
I must say... for the most part, I've enjoyed it.

The thing is:
George states his opinion directly, and makes no apologies for it.
I find that refreshing.

We live in a society, where folks don't state their opinion anymore (for fear of offending others).
Americans walk a line of stringent political correctness.
As a consequence... the average person's opinion is more bland than dry toast.
People make statements, and immediately start back-peddling.

Not George.
He gives his opinion and that's it... take it, or leave it.

Reading George's site, is like watching an old "Morton Downey Jr." re-run... or, a good Howard Stern episode.
Agree or disagree... it's entertaining as hell.

George is straight-out "provocative".
That's the best way to describe his presentation, and I like that.

I only agree with George 40% of the time.
But never-the-less... I enjoy his format and balls.

George did a great piece on "Trayvon Martin" last year.

George's point:
(At that time) the media was doing everything in their power, to portray Trayvon's death as a "white on black crime".
It was "white on black" this... and "white on black" that.
George pointed-out (handily), that George Zimmerman (the assailant) was actually a hispanic man!

I agreed with George 100%.
The media was simply trying to stir-up needless controversy.
Who the f#ck cares what Zimmerman's race is?
Should it matter?

-----------------------------------

Case in point:

"On voter registration forms, George Zimmerman identified himself as Hispanic, as did his mother. His father, Robert, listed himself as white on voter registration forms. Zimmerman's mother, Gladys, is originally from Peru".

The above statement was excerpted (by me) from this excellent article:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/29/trayvon-martin-case-georg_n_1387711.html

-----------------------------------

Months after George Stimson's thread... "the press" settled on describing Zimmerman as "White-Hispanic"! LOL
Seriously? LOL
"The press" just couldn't let it go.

George is only correct 40% of the time... but, at least he has an opinion... and he gives it to you with no disclaimers.

If you're going to do a commentary on current news, environmental issues and societal affairs, that's the only way to go.

His presentation is borderline "60's protest", and for me, it works.

If you view his website as pure entertainment... like an Archie Bunker, Morton Downey Jr. or Howard Stern commentary... it's quite fun.

Just don't take it too seriously... LOL

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

For the record... Stimson was dead-on correct with his George Zimmerman commentary.

Every once in a while, I find a really good piece over there...

And the rest of the time, I take it for entertainment.

"It is, what it is".

OT, but if anyone is interested, Sharon's best friend Sheilah Wells is going to appear on a 1965 episode of The Virginian called "Six Graves at Cripple Creek." It's on INSP at 11:00 a.m. mountain time this Saturday. I don't think I've ever seen Sheilah on TV.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Thanks Bob.
You ROCK Brother!

Carol Mr said: "Sharon's best friend Sheilah Wells is going to appear on a 1965 episode of The Virginian called "Six Graves at Cripple Creek."

I'd never heard of Sheilah Wells so I did a bit of checking. Her IMDB page says:

"Trivia

She was best friends with Sharon Tate, with whom she shared an apartment for a time in the mid 1960s. When Sheilah gave birth to her daughter, she gave the girl the middle name of "Tate".

Her daughter named Amanda Tate Beir was born on March 16, 1969."

She apparently had a long career as an actress and had parts in many famous TV series and movies. Her IMDB page can be found HERE.

The episode of "The Virginian, Six Graves at Cripple Creek (1965)" is posted on YouTube, Sheilah Wells plays the part of "Lucille Carver". Part 1 of that episode can be found HERE. At around the 11:07 mark of that vid, an actress I assume is Sheilah Wells, is identified as "Lucille Carver".

Hey check out Brian Davis' Star City Radio message board regarding Sharon Tate and the 1967 Esquire picture shoot. Interesting stuff...

Thanks Katie,
I love me some Sharon Tate in a wet Tshirt....Those photos of ST posing with guns and ammo belts are kinda creepy though...reminds me of Red & Blue playing with their weapons in the Hendrickson footage.
Mad Men's inaugural season was set in the early sixties and has done an amazing job of marching through the sixties. Many episodes are set around historical events.... JFK assassination... U of Texas tower massacre... Richard Speck nurse massacre... MLK assassination...etc. The last historical event on the program was the RFK assassination, so the Sharon Tate massacre should be coming up soon.

katie8753 said...

Thanks Jeffrey. Those pictures of Sharon are creepily like Red & Blue playing with guns, except that of course Sharon is much better looking. LOL.

I'm not familiar with that show. Thanks for the input! :)

katie8753 said...

There's also an interesting article on the Tex tapes on Cielodrive.com.

Evidently, the LAPD was curious to learn more about the Stubbs murder. Hmmmm.....

Hi everybody. Was out of town for a few days.
Today I ordered Inside The Manson Gang from Amazon.com. It was a little pricey and now I'm wondering if I'll be disappointed.
Anybody have a synopsis they can give me?

katie8753 said...

Hi Doc! Glad you're back.

It's a coffee table book on coffee tables. LOL.

Just kidding. I'm not sure but I think it's the usual falderal of Hendrickson's irkings regarding the squirmy Manson Family trying to act scary.

But I could be wrong....LOL.

Jean Stapleton, known to millions of viewers as the lovable Edith Bunker on the classic CBS sitcom All in the Family, died Saturday of natural causes at her home in New York, her family announced. She was 90.

Stapleton won three Emmys out of four nominations for her role as the lovable "dingbat" wife of blue-collar bigot Archie Bunker (Carroll O’Connor). She received Emmy nominations for two other performances: as Eleanor Roosevelt in Eleanor, First Lady of the World and as Aunt Vivian on the ABC series Grace Under Fire--Yahoo news

St. Circumstance said...

My Condolences L/S...
