I don't care if Rosemary wasn't a typical housewife. I don't care if Sharon was wearing a bathing suit. I don't care if Steve Parent was trying to sell a clock/radio. I don't care if Gibby was just sleeping there one more night before getting rid of Voytek and moving out. I don't care if Voytek was a slob that was just living off of Gibby. He was a loser but he didn't deserve what he got.

I agree on that even Charlie because at this point being out if prison would be a worse punishment than being in for him, regarding Pat to me shes the second most bloodthirsty after Tex. I honestly believe Susan only stabbed Voytek in the legs in an attempt to get away and probably held Sharons arms when Tex went to work but i believe Pat carved up Abigail, Rosemary and Leno pretty good

Susan was just a useless nob but she was gleefully involved. But Susan did hold Sharon's arms and she did smother Gary, so she's a killer.
Leslie went on the hunt the second night with relish (her own words) and she did stab Rosemary 16 times in the back. So she's a killer.
And Linda Kasabian should be in prison. I know the way the law works. She walked because she talked. But I think she's dangerous. She was there. She saw it all.

Bill Nelson wrote a letter to Susan in prison around 2001 when i guess his wife was naking him give up researching the case basically ripping into her for all of her lies over the years, in the letter he claimed that in an in person interview he did with her in the early 90s that Susan told him that Tex got so angry at her at Cielo that he locked her out of the house and Bill challenged her and asked her why she never told the parole board that

Kasabian was pretty messed-up before she even got to the ranch. She was no hapless "Snow White", that's for damn sure.
Bugliosi knew Kasabian was full of shit, but he wanted her as ammunition (and in the end, it worked for him).
Bugliosi carefully planned and orchestrated Linda‘s "hapless flower" image for the jury, because he knew it would make her testimony more credible in their eyes.
So yeah... Bugliosi did major damage control with her image (and destiny), because it suited his agenda.
But make no mistake:
If Linda wasn't willing to "play ball", Bugliosi would have prosecuted her to the full extent of the law. He would have presented her (to the jury), as just another criminal piece of shit. And Bugliosi would have been successful at it, because like him or hate him, Bugliosi was a very effective lawyer.
How much jail time would Linda have gotten? I don’t know for sure… I’m not a lawyer. But, considering the fact that "conspiring" to commit murder, carried the same sentence as actually murdering someone (ie, Manson), it doesn’t take a genius to realize that Linda wasn’t on solid ground.
This was a marriage made in heaven. Linda was an opportunist, and Bugliosi was an opportunist.
Folks often hound Bugliosi about "Helter Skelter", but his portrayal of Linda Kasabian as a "hapless victim of circumstance", may have been his greatest distortion of all.

I agree completely on Kasabian, i saw dome transcripts of some testimony she gave in a hearing on cross examination i think and they were questioning her on her history going back to maybe 66 and there was prostitution, IV drug use, robbery, by all accounts it looked like she was using theft and prostitution as a neans of supporting her drug habit and this was all before hooking up with the Spahn bunch

More importantly, were you ever to Waverly Drive at anytime in the first 20 years or so after the murders, when the property remained relatively unchanged from August 1969...before one of the subsequent owners tore into the front slope to add a Godawful ugly carport across the front of the property...that would be the same piece of land your buddy Charlie went across from the True lot. Susanwhatevexr, Susan's twitchy behavior at parole hearings wasn't the reason she was denied parole. Her crimes were the reason was always denied. She knew it, and her husband knows that. Her behavior during parole hearings was a good example of what Doris Tate always said of her...she's an award winning actress.
I think she became an actress early on in her life. She exaggerated, glorified, magnified everything she did...to hide the truth of who and what she came from...a neglectful, pain filled background, and later...the truths about herself that were so heinous and ugly...even to her...
