"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?"

Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky?

Well, do ya, punk????"

Yeah, he sort of looks like he could be in the Mamas and the Papas.

I think he was quite attractive.

That does look like Denny of the mommas and pappas. Paul Tate did dress as a hippie to try and infiltrate his way towards finding his daughter's killers.

In Bug's Helter Skelter book he twice says Paul Tate's undercover efforts contributed nothing to the Mansonite's arrests. There had to have been some terse exchanges between Bug and Paul Tate that led Bug to take two digs at Paul Tate. I equate Bug's two digs at Paul Tate with Bug's exaggerated denial that Manson went back to Cielo just minutes after the murders.

The fact is that Manson DID go back that night.

Did Paul Tate's undercover efforts amount to nothing as Bug claimed? Dunno.

I also need to add that I doubt that Bug would give Paul Tate any credit for finding the Mansonites if Tate did contribute positively through his own individual undercover exploits.

Hi Mr. P.

I don't think that Paul Tate was instrumental in breaking this case. Put aside what Bugliosi said, Paul Tate isn't mentioned in the homocide reports as contributing any information leading to the arrests that I've seen.

Debra looks like her father...

Marliese, to me, Debra looks more like Doris. It's funny how we all see things differently, huh?

CarolMR said...

I think all three girls look like Doris. I think Debra, when she was younger and thinner, looked more like Sharon than Patti did, but I guess I'm in the minority on that.

According to Restless Souls Patti picks up her father's copy of Helter Skelter which is autographed to PJ Tate from Vincent Bugliosi. VB acknowledges PJs moral certitude and restraint that he didn't try to get justice on his own.

No one knows Manson went back to Cielo drive And although not the most rational of thinkers, Manson was a weasel a con and self defence was very important to him he never went back the only hitch is pools of the victims found indoors blood out side!
