B. J. Thomas died. B. J. was a 60's icon. Just another part of the "summer of love". I wish I could go back there again, but sadly, it's gone, just like B. J. He had so many good songs. Post as many as you want!!!
Let's remember him...
I seen where BJ Thomas died. I graduated high school in 1979, 2 people from my class have died in the last 7 days. The funeral for one woman was Saturday, we had a picnic at her house, she was in hospice hooked to oxygen. There were maybe 100 people there, maybe 5 or 7 people from our class of '79. Her husband said on Facebook it was the happiest day of her life. She died like 3 days later. The other man was in my "section" in high school. I had nearly every class with him, He died of a heart aneurysm, he was scheduled to have aneurysm surgery this week. He's in the funeral home right now. I remember the last half day of school, I think it was the 10th grade. My homeroom teacher was "Ms. Deal". I was standing in front of her desk to pick up my report card to go home for the summer. From out in the hallway he yelled at the top of his lungs "FUCK YOU DEAL" We both knew exactly who it was, Deal looked up at me to see if I was going to laugh, I didn't, but I sure wanted to. Rest in peace.Sure, I remember "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" and I also liked Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song
Thanks Sunset. Sorry to hear about your friends. I like that song too!
