Well, the anniversary of the TLB murders is "coming down fast"!

On November 17th, Julien's will be auctioning a lot of Sharon's personal items.  Just in time for Quentin Tarentino's movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".

My heart goes out to Debra Tate. This must be so sad for her to see all this gearing up of movies about the death of her sister, not only because Charlie died, but because it will be 50 years ago that this happened in August of 2019.

To live this over and over again has to be hard. I know a lot of people are hard on Debra, but as I've said before, don't judge anyone until you've walked in their moccasins.

My thoughts and prayers are with Debra as she tries to navigate this critical time.

The TLB murder victims didn't deserve what happened to them. And neither did Debra or her family....

I agree on Debra, Katie, she gets alot of criticism but like you said put yourself in her shoes, that woman has had to deal with far more tragedy than anyone should, not only Sharon but having to see Patty, Mom and Dad pass away as well, two of them from cancer and as you said that family was really never the same after the murders

Did anyone see the Fox special last night? I wasnt too impressed

Thanks Rudy. I didn't see the Fox special. What was the subject matter?

It was called The Manson Lost Tapes, you didnt miss much, it was supposed to be groundbreaking new revelations but it was just more of the same, there was some really cool Robert Hendrickson footage i hadn't seen before and i thought id seen everything lol, in a 2 hour special on TLB, Kasabian wasnt even mentioned one time in the whole thing, the narrator even said it was only Tex, Susan and Pat who went to Cielo lol

Oh I've heard of that documentary but I haven't seen it. But there have been so many I lose track. LOL. Most of those are lame and they always say they have "groundbreaking news" but like you say, it's just the same old thing.

It was on Fox during primetime so im sure most people into the case saw it

The MAnson lost tapes, sucked a big one!Cathern Share especially nauseated me😨

Catherine Share is trying very hard to re-invent herself as more of a victim, or non-combatant, however, she was in the mix for numerous criminal acts with the Family, was involved in the Hawthorne shootout, sustained a GSW, and served five years. She is far from a victim....

Catherine Share being 27, divorced, and having earned a degree was the one woman I wondered what she was doing with that bunch. She also married into the Aryan Brotherhood even though she is Jewish. She had a traumatic childhood loosing three parents to suicide so that must have played a role.

“B”,

I get what you are saying, certainly upbringing can have an impact on an adult life, however, and I know you are not saying this, but that upbringing does not excuse any criminal activity that she engaged in. She willfully, and knowingly, engaged in felonious behavior, and actually got off easy.

I agree Dilligaf.

Share was lucky that cop she shot didnt die otherwise shed still be sitting in prison with Pat and Leslie

The whole lost tapes part of this show amounted to about 10 minutes of footage taken from Robert Hendrickson's original film Manson which apparently was sold to the program by Robert's step son after his passing so no there where really in reality any lost tapes

There is going to be an exhibition of all these items up for sale at the museum of Style Icons just outside Dublin in Ireland.
Only a couple of hours drive from where I live.

I'm going Thursday 18th (luck of the Irish)
I'll post all photos I take on our facebook group and also send them to Bo who'll probably post them on his page.

OT and I apologize. I haven't been keeping up with the Tarantino movie. Who is playing Sharon? I ask because I saw an actress on a re-run of "Two and a Half Men" who would have been perfect. Her name is April Bowlby. She is 38 but looks younger. Sometimes she has red hair, sometimes blonde. I noticed her facial features are somewhat similar to Sharon's. I looked up an interview with her and her voice is similar to Sharon's, too.
Hi, Katie!

katie8753 said...

Hi Carol! I think a woman named Margot Robbie will be playing Sharon. I don't know who she is. She, of course, is not as beautiful as Sharon. In fact, in the pictures I've seen, she looks like she needs a shave. Plus she has an English accent. Not my first choice....

Lurch where is the Fromme interview? Do you have a link?

CarolMR said...

Thanks, Katie. Margot Robbie is the right age but she doesn't look like Sharon. April Bowlby has more of the innocent quality that Sharon had. Oh, well. Quentin Tarantino never asked for my opinion!

katie8753 said...

Carol, you're exactly right. Sharon had an innocence about her great beauty. A quality that's probably hard to find now-a-days!!

I have always thought that Molly Sims could play a great Sharon Tate.
