Some things are just Ridiculous.

I read an article on my "homepage" the other day, which infuriated and astonished me.

The title of the article was:
"Anti-Trump movement limps-on despite bumps and bruises"... or something like that.

So naturally, I clicked on the link, thinking it would be about the Democrats and these "rally protests" and the like...

Much to my astonishment, the article was about a "collective" of GOP organizations (I believe it was five organizations to be exact), who have pumped 14 million dollars into funding negative Ads against Trump.
Yes... I said 14 million!

Mind you... ALL the people behind these groups are Republican.

Their goal evidently, is to de-throne Trump and handpick their own GOP candidate (in the 11th hour)... thus "uniting" the party. LOL.

Are these people kidding me??

I have a few problems with this:

#1) Whatever happened to party loyalty?
Trump is working his ass off and using his own money to win a GOP Presidency for these idiots, and they're working against him???
Talk about being fucking ungrateful.

#2) What makes these GOP idiots ASSUME that EVERY Trump supporter is going to suddenly vote for their "handpicked candidate"??? How pompous ARE these people??

#3) Don't these idiots realize that Cruz, Romney, and similar hardline conservatives, have ZERO chance of beating Hillary Clinton? Are these people still in 1984?

#4) The hardline Republicans keep saying:
"Trump is setting us back 100 years. It will take us 100 years to rebuild and reunite the party"

Are these people really that stupid?
The old-school Republican party is ALREADY dead.
Without MAJOR change, the GOP party isn't going to win another election for 100 years ANYWAY!

Do these old GOP fogies really believe that antiquated losers like Bush, Mitt Romney and Ted Cruz can still win elections in 2016?? These people are living in fantasyland.

Trump is their ONLY chance at winning an election. They should be kissing his feet, for even giving them a moderate chance at victory!!
Even WITH full-out Trump support, it would be a very tough battle against Clinton.

#5) It's actually amazing how well Trump continues to do.
He's LITERALLY fighting BOTH the Democrats AND Republicans simultaneously.

#6) The only thing the Republicans are going to achieve with this ridiculous "ploy", is getting Hillary Clinton elected as President. Any "dark horse" they roll-out in the 11th hour, is going to lose miserably. That's a fact. Cruz can't even beat Trump. How's he gonna beat Clinton?

#7) Whatever happened to listening to "the people"?  Isn't that what these elections are supposed to be about (in the first place)? The vast majority of Republican "People" CLEARLY want Trump. Doesn't that mean ANYTHING to these GOP millionaires? Evidently, not.

#7) I've lost a lot of respect for the Republicans. I fully EXPECT the Democrats to oppose the GOP front-runner. But heck, the Republicans themselves??? For shame.

I'm not a conspiracist, but judging from these developments, I'm starting to wonder if there ISN'T an "illuminati" behind all this nonsense...

Sheesh!

Romney made a speech against Trump, and it had ZERO impact.

Romney is yesterday's news.

He's one of the GOP hopefuls?
He's their secret weapon? Lmao

C'mon Republicans... get real.

It's a fact.

Support Trump Republicans, or go home... it's as simple as that.

The 2 party system in this country is dead. This country is being controlled by illegal aliens, atheists, pinko liberals and dead people.

We need to take this country back. And Donald Trump is the guy that can do it. Why do you think everyone is so afraid of Trump? Because he doesn't owe special interest groups anything.

The Republicans are biting off their noses to spite their faces.

I've posted this before and I'll post it again: no matter where one falls on the political spectrum in this election, if you love the rule of law, the Constitution and the Republic, you cannot support mobs that will not allow others to speak or others to listen to speech they deem unacceptable. Disrupting, intimidation, shouting others down is as unAmerican as it gets. It's the stuff of brownshirts.

Yeah but Stormy, I'm sick of pinko atheist liberals saying I can't say Merry Christmas. I'm sick of pinko atheist liberals saying that I can't say I don't agree with "gay marriage". And I'm really getting tired of pinko atheist liberals saying I can't say "I don't like terrorists".

Disrupting, intimidation, shouting others down is as unAmerican as it gets. It's the stuff of brownshirts.

Yeah, I agree. Those people that are disrupting the Trump debates should be in prison.

Let's own this country again.

The "moral majority" is now the "moral minority" thanks to the pinko, liberal, atheist illegal aliens.

It's time to time a stand!!!!

Neither are hardline conservatives. Should the GOP select a hardliner, they might win. Some consider Trump a hardliner because he wants to enforce immigration laws. They call him a ray-cyst for the same reason.

Trump has about a 45% chance of being elected, and any other GOP candidate will be crushed.

It's a fact.

Maybe. The Dems start with around 200-220 electoral votes. They only need a few states at the margin to win. If they win this upcoming election, it's over, well it was over in 2012 when white women for the most part reelected the nigger. In 2020 Dems start with 270 electoral because in power Dems will make changes to insure they never lose another national election. Bernie, the nigger lover form all white VT will let every brown from Messico to the tip of South America legally vote in US elections. Clinton will steal that idea. Hey, we'll be like messkins for sure then, the PRI in May-he-co won presidential elections for 70 years. Dems are the US version of the PRI.

,you cannot support mobs that will not allow others to speak or others to listen to speech they deem unacceptable. Disrupting, intimidation, shouting others down is as unAmerican as it gets. It's the stuff of brownshirts.

The brownshirts were Hitlers reaction to communists and other scum disrupting his rallies. He mobilized street toughs to put a stop to them. As icing on the cake he sent his brownshirt security to disrupt communist meetings. Hey, turnabout is fair play.

I read and article this morning about Trump keeping a copy of Mein Kampf on his nightstand to read from time to time, as if that is a bad thing.

Let me tell you the way our world is right now. First of all, cops are quitting. Why? Because they can't stop a black guy running a stop sign without getting putting on leave without pay. They're racists.

These cops are facing dangerous lives and they don't need this shit.

Teachers are facing tough lives. Now, because of the liberals, atheists and illegals aliens, the teachers aren't in charge of the classrooms anymore, the kids are. They do anything they want and the teachers can't do anything about it.

That's the truth.

No one wants to be a cop anymore. No one wants to be teacher anymore.

What's left? Figure it out!! Figure it out!!

I feel sorry for the kids for their future. If we don't protect it, they won't have one.

I didn't realize this was such a conservative site. And Trump of all people? Really?

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Hi Donna,

I'm not conservative, Republican, Democrat or Liberal.
I'm an American, and a truth-seeker.

And yes, as of now, I'm voting for Donald J. Trump.

If you want more of the "same old, same old"... more "mediocrity"... and more political bullshit... vote for the other candidates. You'll definitely get what you're looking for...

OR...
You can take a chance for once.

Our founding fathers were risk-takers.

My Grandfather used to say:
"You'll never get ahead, unless you're willing to take a chance".

If you vote for the other candidates, things will never change.
The other candidates are "professional politicians".
It's that simple.

There's absolutely NO WAY, Donald Trump could possibly be any worse, than the other Presidents we've had in recent years.
When's the last time we had a REALLY great President (Republican or Democrat)?

I say, give Trump a chance.
We've got little to lose at this point.

This country doesn't win any more.
Trump's absolutely right on that point!

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Yes...
Trump is a bit "unpolished" and crude.
There's no denying that fact.

But, truth be told, it's refreshing to see a candidate with a pair of balls between his legs for once.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

And bear in mind...

The media is SO biased against Trump.

The Republicans and Democrats are BOTH throwing MAD MONEY into media control.

If you want the real story, you have to dig a little bit... and use an ounce of common sense.

You're only gonna get the "real story" from the mainstream media about 15% of the time.

Trump is a joke period. I don't believe the majority of people want him in office. In fact, Hillary - comparatively speaking- seems to be much more popular than Trump. I personally like Bernie but will vote for Hillary if I need to. I don't believe in any of what republicans believe in. I might be what one poster called a liberal, atheist, etc... but I was born in the U.S. I agree that the Democrats and Republicans are ruled by corporations. That is why I find Bernie refreshing. Like Trump, he is honest and upfront - without all the hate.

I never said the majority of people wanted Trump in office.

I SAID, the majority of "Republicans" want Trump in office, and the Republicans should listen to their people.

There's a BIG difference.

That's the problem with politics, folks like you "skim" things, and never get the correct story.

My point:
The Republicans should make Trump their "nominee", because that's what THEIR people want.
He's received the most Republican votes in THEIR primaries no?
Why the hell are we holding primaries, if we're not going to listen to "the people"?

Donna said:

I've already made that point.
Again, you're not reading closely.

I SAID (and I quote):
"Trump is the Republicans ONLY chance at winning an election. They should be kissing his feet, for even giving them a moderate chance at victory!! Even WITH full-out (Republican) Trump support, it would be a very tough battle against Clinton."

I ALSO SAID:
"Trump has about a 45% chance of being elected, and any other GOP candidate will be crushed."

A 45% chance at winning, is less than a 50% chance, no?
I'm indicating, that Trump would be the underdog against Clinton.
(i.e., Clinton would have a 55% chance at success).

Donna said:

Honestly Donna, in light of current events, that's a ridiculous statement.

Many self-identified Sanders supporters are engaging in illegal and criminal activity.
I've listed those criminal behaviors at length (on another thread).

Bernie Sanders has never once, asked his supporters to cease their illegal and disruptive actions.
That's a peaceful man?

Donna Nelson said...

Points taken Lynrd. Suppose we see things through different set of eyes. I will back track - Trump is not honest. Do I believe any of them are totally honest. No. But I believe the Democrats are the only thing keeping us from going back to dark ages. I respectfully disagree with you on some things. I enjoy the banter though. :)

Donna Nelson said...

I can understand Trump's appeal - as he is definitely not the same ole same ole.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Honestly Donna,

ANY election vote is an "educated guess".

We don't really know ANY of these candidates on a personal level... and we never will.

If you work 8 hours every day with a person for 20 years... you KNOW that person.

Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury.

All we can do, is listen, use our common sense, try to block-out the "media noise", and roll the dice.

Unfortunately, if we elect the wrong person, we usually don't know it, until 2 years into their service.

For these reasons, I never make my final voting decisions, until AFTER the general election debates.

The one-on-one exchange in the general debates (between just TWO candidates), is the closest we'll ever get, to actually "knowing" these candidates (on a personal level).

I always reserve the right, to change my mind.
I'm registered as an "independent". (some states call it "undeclared").

If Donald Trump bites the head off a chicken in the next two weeks, I have no problem saying "I read him wrong".

The thing is... if you actually listen to Trump speak at length (30 minutes or so).... instead of watching 10-second "sound bytes"...(on a night when he's not interrupted 12 times), he's actually very sensible.

I just watched a 24-minute video of Trump addressing the Jewish people, and he's FAR from Anti-Semitic (I can tell you that much).
It was incredible, actually.

Don't take my word for it, watch the video for yourself.
He certainly doesn't sound like a "bigot" to me.

Indulge me for 24 minutes, you might be surprised:

==============================================

At the end of the day Donna, I respect your right to vote for whoever you choose.
That system, is what makes us Americans.

The candidate who gets the most electoral votes, deserves the job... even IF, it's not the person I voted for...

What I'm against, is the violence and intimidation that I'm seeing.
There are elderly people at these events, children, and disabled veterans.

People need to just chill out a little bit, and exercise their right to vote.

Whoever wins the election is EVERYONE'S President, and we should support that person.

Peace!
