I red this yesterday and there is a classic description of her parents..

they are the real criminals in all this...

They are just as bad as Snake lakes parents, or Dean Moorehouse in my book. money certainly doesn't buy class...

This girl is a sad sad example of a human being and should be old enough to get it by now- but she never had a chance...

whats worst- being abandoned by your parents and left to go down the road to evil, or being led and encouraged by your parents down the road to evil??

i don't about lohan's mother but the father is a train wreck. he is the hystrionic man i've ever seen. he also sells her out to the press all the time. i feel sorry for her.

I saw that a few days ago and thought it was a really well-written and genuinely illuminating. I don't understand people who pile on with this woman. She clearly has mental health and/or substance abuse issues, not to mention the hellish baggage that must accompany having two of the most self-interested, self-regarding, leeching, vindictive parents on the planet, both of whom are probably bigger trainwrecks than she is. As an adult she is responsible for her own actions to a certain extent but I'm not sure how competent she is at this point. Seems like a case of Britney Spears going completely off the rails, only Lohan doesn't have a responsible parent to help get her well-being and finances in order. I kind of want to see The Canyons now, to see if it's brilliant, good-bad or just plain bad.

(Though I make that point about Britney Spears - who does seem a lot more stable now - but it's pretty clear she doesn't enjoy her career anymore and has lost her spark, so maybe those around her only got her medicated so they could pressure her to continue and keep her as their cash cow. Stage parents eh.)

I hate- HATE more than anything on this planet- people who hurt kids or are bad parents....

But the fact is - Lindsay Lohan- much like Charlie Sheen, Has many advantages, and many many people trying to help them. They have their enablers for sure, but they also have people whom have tried very hard to help them. The resources and talent to make something of their lifes after 5'th and 6'th chances. How much can I care then they care so little? Their are people out there begging for the help.

The refusal to listen, take it seriously, or even care ones single minutiae about how they affect other people is all on them. They are adults now and at some point you know whats going on and whats right from wrong.

At a certain age you have to take some responsibility for yourself. Their are so many people out there with so many worse problems and so much less going for them who pull it together because they have to get through life. It is so hard for me to watch them act like spoiled babies and feel any pity after a certain point.

Entitlement. They feel everything is owned to them. They can act, say , do whatever they want and then cry- and we should drop our other feelings and try to understand them...

I understand that Lindsay is going to be dead or locked up soon. It is inevitable as anything I have ever seen coming.

That is sad- but not as sad to me as others who never saw the end coming or were unable to do anything about it.

I do think she should take responsibility for herself and I hope my comment wasn't read in the spirit of trying to make excuses for her. However, I also think it's possible that she - and many other adults who seemingly should do the same, famous or not - probably aren't competent to make sound judgments about themselves and their treatment, so it's sad to see people pile on, ridicule and root for her to fail as happens on many of the celebrity gossip blogs on a regular basis. (The same happened with Amy Winehouse - "Is she dead yet?" etc. - and then one day she was.) She's a trainwreck and she needs to get her shit together, for sure. There are a lot of people out there who are lot worse off than she is, no doubt. But she isn't exactly surrounded by people - anyone, really - who has her best interests at heart and is even attempting, much less succeeding, in helping her break through the fog of her troubled thinking and screwed up lifestyle.

I don't know...I take your point, Saint. I really do.

Leigh- not intended to be argumentative towards you :)

I feel very badly about what is going to happen to this girl, and would sentence her parents right along side of her...

It really isn't funny when you think about it...

not because HER life is getting wasted- because any young life was wasted....

We just tried to find it- I dont think it has been released yet lol

I know very little about Lindsay Lohan and even less about her parents, but I've seen snippets in the news regarding Lohan's antics and I have to say, for the offenses she's committed (I think it's DUI several times) she's only been given a slap on the wrist. And I think she's even missed some court appearances because she somehow thinks she's above the law.

If an ordinary Joe had done what she has done, that person would probably be sitting in a jail cell right now.

Yes, St. no surprise that Lohan's dad is such a piece of work. He is from Long Island.
