The LA Riots were in April - May of 1992. King was beaten in March,1991...more than a year prior.
The LA Riots were sparked by the four white police officers being acquitted of charges in the Rodney King beating case.
And if you remember, the trial was moved from LA County to Simi Valley, in another county because of the heavy media interest in the case, something of a mistake on the DAs part if you ask me. A mistake that they would later erroneously be accused of trying to overcompensate for when the OJ Simpson trial was moved from Santa Monica to downtown LA so OJ would get a better shake at a jury of his peers.
I fully admit that this has no relationship to this case. I grew up in a small town and I know white peoiple who got the shit beat out of them by white cops when being arrested for DWI. no camaras no media. Lessons were learned though. lol.
Sorry guys I have been so busy the last few days, I don't know anything about this case, except that he was beat senseless, and the only reason he ain't dead is that he was drunk.
HA HA.
Seriously, this could happen to anyone if it's not taken care of. Am I going back into the diaries of time??
Hoo Wah. HA HA HA.
Stormy, Starship, Bobby...y'all take care of this whilst I recuperate....
The video explains that the riots were sparked by the acquittal of the 4 police officers... however, I was't aware that the Rodney King case had been relocated, just as the OJ case.
Interestingly enough... Bugliosi stated (in so many words) that not fighting the re-location of the OJ trial (and the subsequent jury selection) was one of the the biggest blunders, that the prosecution (Clark and Darden) had made...

Hi Starship.

I re-watched the original Rodney King beating footage.
King was struck 51 times... and it really seemed as though, the beating would never end.
I was thinking:
Are these guys ever going to stop?
As I watched, I thought (to myself)... wasn't Voytek stabbed approximately 51 times?
It lends some perspective to that enormous figure.
To reach a total of 51 stab wounds... the madness must have carried-on seemingly "forvever"...
Insanity...
poor rodney, he was a good guy.
Can't we all just get along?
