I thought he received a 5 yr denial last year,

He is listed for a 10:30 A.M. hearing. It could be posted in error, but then this is California...

Dill, is 10:30am unusual?

Dilligaf said...

No. Typically a PB has numerous hearings in a day, so they schedule accordingly. I was just mentioning the time as that was what was listed.

Thanks Dill.

He just might have a shot at getting out this time. Gov. Brown probably won't care. If he does get out I wonder if he'll try to hook up with Clem.

If granted parole, he would still have to be given a release date. I would be surprised if paroled, that he would contact anyone related to the Family. Most likely, non-contact would be a condition of parole, violation would move him back to the home he knows so well. Hard to imagine he would risk it...

Yes Dill, non-contact would probably be a condition of parole. But Bruce has a track record of not doing what he's supposed to do.

He kept contact with Tex in prison with this "ministry crap", and he also tried to have a relationship with Sadie, until his mother put a stop to it.

Bruce isn't known for making "good, well thought out decisions".

I hope he doesn't get released. I think he killed Pugh and Zero, and Lord knows who else. And he's never owned up to that or made any restitution for it.

He minimizes his involvement in Shorty's murder. He went from bragging about it to saying that "he only made short jabs in Shorty after he was probably already dead".

Sounds a lot like horseteeth to me.

I still can't believe they let scramblehead out. When they found Shorty's body, they discovered that his skull was beat in and stabbed.

Grogan admitted that he hit Shorty on the head. I'm sure he's the one who inflicted some or most of these wounds.

But, by the time they found Shorty, Grogan was already released.

It's scary to think that he's out roaming around. I think he's a dangerous guy.

He should also be on the national register as a child molester.

Wanting to prove that he hadn't cut him up in nine pieces...as the story goes, Grogan told where the body was buried in 1977. The remains were located in late '77, but Grogan wasn't released until 1985 or '86.

I've never understood why revealing where Shorty's remains were located or proving he hadn't cut him up would have had any influence regarding parole. How about the years he let him rot?

These people not only murdered, they mutilated and desecrated the remains of their victims.

He admitted getting into the car knowing they were going to ambush and kill Shorty, admitted clubbing him from behind with a pipe wrench, and then stabbing him twice in the chest...
and served only 15 years or so.

katie8753 said...

Hi Marliese! Thanks!

I'm not really sure why they let Clem go. It sounds like a "deal" to me. Maybe just to close the books on Shea??

Yes, Clem admits to clubbing Shorty on the head. If you look at the autopsy report, the head has not only been clubbed, but stabbed, along with other parts of his body.

You're right, it was "overkill" on these victims.

And Bruce was right there joining in. How anyone could let EITHER of these monsters out is just amazing to me!

I know Katie. It's just amazing to me too.

I wonder if Grogan ever apologized to Shorty's family, or wrote a letter to Shorty's mother asking forgiveness for bashing her son's skull, plunging a knife into his chest, and letting his remains rot for eight years...til revealing where they were was useful to him?

He was lucky to get out. And lucky he wasn't prosecuted for more than he was...

I can't stand the look of him...

katie8753 said...

Marliese, I can't stand to look at him either. I can't stand to look at any of them.

When I see the recent photos of Clem, I just wonder if he remembers what he did to Shorty. I mean, how could you forget something like that? Surely he will feel guilty for the rest of his life that he took someone else's life so brutally.

It doesn't seem fair that he can run around free after what he did. I hope that he has to hide his true identity forever.

You guys talk about Clem and Bruce -

'Ol Tex was the one that killed Shorty...

Shame on it, he was never charged with it either....

Wonder who else he killed...

Kimchi said...

And all the kids he spawned on my dime...

And the kids they spawned...

Charles D. "Tex" Watson makes me ill...

Kimchi said...

Bobby, unfortunately, it happened...I guess (at the time) they thought it was good for the lifers...thank God they stopped it..

Only after Doris Tate fought for it...

Kimchi said...

Everyone bitches about Nelson, but he did do one thing good...he brought out the fact that Watson had the right to conjugal visits and was spawning kids at taxpayers expense...

Doris is a Saint...so glad she stopped all that nonsense...

Marliese...

I was looking forward to some stories from your recent trip to Cielo/Waverly... (maybe even a thread submission and some pics)... and then you disappeared from the Folger thread, and dropped the subject completely. : (

...and what happened to the funny Krenwinkel story you had lined-up?

Bigtime Cliffhangers! LOL

Tease... LOLOL

Hey Bob!

Yeah...
Lebron showed-up and played a fantastic game from beginning to end.
He beat us fair-and-square.
We held it within 8-10 points for many moments in the game.
I was hoping LeBron would have a bad 3rd quarter, and we could close the gap.
He never had a bad quarter... and it never happened. LOL

Bottom line:
Pierce, Garnett and Allen were all superstars at one time.
But now... they're WAY beyond their prime.
Rondo is still in his prime, and "has his legs under him" every night out... but he's alone.
The rest of the team is getting tired, and inconsistent.
Age takes it's toll in a long series, and during overtime minutes.
Of course with age, comes more injuries and slower recovery, as well.

Add to all that, the fact that the Celt's really have no bench.
Rondo played the entirety of game 2!
He never sat down once.
Playing an entire game is unheard of...

The Heat are a younger, stronger, bigger team.
It's a fact.
The Celtics have already beaten the odds.

Going into last night's game, the Celt's had gone all-out to win 3 straight games.
They were simply exhausted... and game 6, was the result.

The Celts are clearly the underdog... but, it's still anyone's ballgame.
If the Heat have an "off" night saturday... and the Celt's catch a few breaks... the Celt's just might squeak by the Heat. LOL
(Like Lynnette "Squeaky" Fromme) : )

Hi Kimchi. I'm not defending good ole Tex, but even if he was present to kill Shorty (no evidence that he was), he sure didn't do it alone.

There were plenty of family members who participated in Shorty's murder if you include the burying, cleanup and burning of evidence.

They're all guilty.

katie8753 said...

In fact, I don't think Tex was there to kill Shorty.

I think he split after the Labianca killings to the desert and then back to Texas.

I don't think he was around to kill Shorty.

I think Charlie just got Clem & Bruce to do it. And then afterward they lied to include Tex.

I think that's why he wasn't charged with it.

Not that it means anything in regards to what he did do.

But just saying....

Marliese, I would love to hear your feelings that you discussed on the Folger thread. You said you were out of time.

I value your opinion. I know that Krenwinkel is supposedly rehabilitated, but I doubt she will ever be suitable for release. Because her brain has been shrunken by Charlie to the size of a pea.

She likes to rant and rave and cry (it almost brought a tear to my eye...sob....LOL) at her parole hearings, hoping that some marshmellow will take pity, but I say she has gone so far to the dark side that she will never really come back.

I think that what she did to Abigail and to Rosemary was so heinous it should only be talked about in dark corners in low voices.

I for one am sick and tired of the victims being blamed and it's time that people understand that the killers only killed because they were told to do so by Charlie. And they did. They had no compunction, empathy or remorse.

No connections whatsoever. The victims were just that...victims.

Marliese, your opinions are valued! I'd love to hear them!
