Nice! Lynyrd you rock!

Who's the girl in #3?

TomG said...

The girl in #3 is Casey Anthony, who would like to try and be a mother again.

I'm sorry. That isn't really funny. But hide your kids! She lose!

katie8753 said...

Love the decor. Looks like an engine motor and broken screen door in the kitchen. I guess that's a kitchen in #1, it has a stove.

Also love the blood red paint. Nice touch. LOL.

That would be a good place for Casey Anthony. I've said before, she'd fit into the Manson family just fine. No qualms about killing there!!!

katie8753 said...

Love that broken down chair and couch. I've seen better furniture in a junk yard.

I can't imagine any girl wanting to live in a place like that.

I'd have taken one look at that dump and ran screaming into the night. LOL.

katie8753 said...

I don't know who that girl is Kimchi.

Does anyone know if these pictures were taken after the family was arrested. Didn't Spahn's Ranch burn down in the 70's?

I wonder what our girl is doing on her first night of freedom? We never got to see Susie, Leslie, or Katie free.....

Are they nutjobs for life? Or was it just a little mix up that they can grow out of?

Now they're obsessing on the girl in Pic # 3 comparing her to Casey Anthony.

I'm very happy to say I haven't followed any of that case.

The law set her free, it is what it is, now live with it.

It's not up to you to pass judgement.

If she is guilty of what she was allegedly charged with ..... nobody escapes karma.

I can see that i'm just wasting my time looking through audios for Tex Watson material.

Casey Anthony is the new Susan Atkins.

Now, back to sports and weather.

Adios dummies.

katie8753 said...

Tom, I've said before, if such a travesty since the likes of OJ Simpson has yet again occurred, I've finally decided that Pat & Leslie should be free.

Are they nutjobs for life?

I think that Pat Krenwinkle was screwed up big time by Charlie, and after the years, she has shown true remorse. I think that the only reason she hasn't been released was because she did actually do some gruesome things in these murders. But I don't think she's dangerous now.

Leslie? I think she's a sociopath who has never felt remorse, who has only used men to get out, who never really felt she did anything wrong, who has always blamed Charlie for everything.

Now...is Leslie dangerous? The only reason I don't think so is because she's too old to be. She's be in so long, I sincerely doubt that if she did get out, she'd do anything to jeopardize her freedom. I think she's that smart.

Casey Anthony is much more dangerous than either of these women. And that's a fact. Casey is still young enough to kill people and her first victim was only 2 years old. The next victim might be a boyfriend that pisses her off.

What's she doing now? She's only thinking about herself. It's only me, me, me with this bitch.

She didn't get punished like Pat & Leslie. Makes a BIG difference. She knows there aren't consequences for her actions. She's learned that. The legal system works for her. She's laughing all the way to the bank.

TomG said...

There is only one Susan Atkins. And there will never be another.

katie8753 said...

Jimmy I was just going to answer you.

>>>To answer Katie - I'm not saying that Tex was behind LaBianca. I don't believe that's the case here but Tex was the guy who carried out the deed, but someone had to handle Nader on his behalf and that's where Manson took the others on a ride.>>>

Okay, you say that Tex was "championing Linda" at the Tate house because of a "drug burn", or whatever event occurred.

Let's look back. A month before, in July 1969, Tex left his "then" girlfriend at Bernard Crowe's place and when she was threatened, he said "I'm outta here. I'll catch y'all on the back side".

But suddenly, in August of 1969, he was ready to "kill for his woman".

I find that ludicrous.

If Tex was so enamored with Linda and willing to kill for her, why didn't he kill Charlie? Linda claims that she was "scared to death" of him.

Can you explain that one?

This lean, mean, killing machine that would kill anyone in the world who hurt "Linda", should have killed Charlie. Because she was afraid of him.

(foot tapping..............)

Tom, I compared Susan to Casey Anthony because of the constant lies that came/comes out of both their mouths.

Susan could tell some whoppers. Same as Casey. Only difference is, Casey still does, and Susan doesn't talk anymore.

YES - That is exactly what i'm saying and that is the truth.

What this shows is that Tex was off doing his own thing, with Linda and with Susan.

Linda's own testimony shows that she was very into Tex Watson sexually. There was an emotional and physical bond.

Hence ..... Salindar Nader.

<<<<

Come on, that's a ridiculous question that has nothing to do with anything. That could apply to any member of the group who claimed to be "Afraid" of Manson.

What i've been trying to get people to do is to take a close look at Nader and ask yourself WHY anyone would want this guy dead and, more importantly, on the very same night as the LaBianca murders.

There's enough evidence here to make the connection that Watson and Kasabian were emotionally and sexually Involved.

That brings us to Frykowski, Kasabian, Nader. - ALL of these, including Bernard Crowe spawned from TEX WATSON.

I will say that OVER and OVER again because that's what it is.

The Larry King interview also showed Linda having fond thoughts about Tex Watson and even smiling when Larry mentioned his name. Buglisoi was also there holding his own bayonette to Linda's back just to make sure that she doesn't sing off key.

Do you understand what i'm saying?

It's all there, in the open and it proves what even TJ had told to Bill Nelson about TEX being the one who did the Tate killings as well as the drug burn on Bernard Crowe and TJ, as far as im concerend, is a reputable witness.

That's where you look.

Once you see that, this whole case takes on a different view.

katie8753 said...

Okay Jimmy, you say Tex was in charge...right?

Then why didn't HE order Charlie to stay at the LaBianca's and kill, shower, eat cheese and drink chocolate milk, whilst TEX drove off with Linda, Clem & Sadie to off Nader???

If Tex was in charge, why didn't HE order Charlie around???

Your reasoning doesn't make any sense.

Now if you can come up with something that MAKES SENSE....I might be more inclined to listen. :)

And please don't say..."no sense makes sense". That's been done to death!!

>>>Okay Jimmy, you say Tex was in charge...right?<<<

No, i never said "Tex was in charge".

LaBianca was a seperate event but Watson was a part of that.

Tex ran his own drug operation which involved Susan and Linda and possibly Larry Bailey. It was a tight little click and it was independant of Charles Manson's oversight.

As i've said before, there was absolutely no intention of Linda Kasabian participating in LaBianca because they had her picked out for another destination that night - Nader.

LaBianca, by itself, was a planned event because it was coordinated and the execution of that event depended upon the LaBianca's returing from Lake Isabella.

Detach LaBianca from Tate and examine things along the lines of Hinman, Crowe, Tate, and Nader and you'll get a much clearer picture on who did what and what each person's role was including Manson's.

TJ also knew that Watson was beind Crowe and Tate and so do I.

Ah montrer. I disagree. Why is that ridiculous??? Why does that have nothing to do with anything??

If you say that TEX was IN CHARGE, that means he's IN CHARGE of Charlie.

Does it not???

Because if that's not what you mean, then all your theories to exonerate Charlie are null and void.

Because you're whole assumation was that Charlie wasn't in charge...TEX WAS.

So...if you are saying that Tex Watson was running the show, that the murders were all HIS idea, that Charlie never had control...then it's a valid point.

So....is that what you're saying???? That Tex was in charge?

katie8753 said...

Hmm....

You did say before that Tex was running the show. Now you say he wasn't.

You can't have it both ways!!!

It's one or the other.

He can't run the show sometimes, and sometimes he doesn't.

That doesn't make sense.

<<<<

I said that Tex was running his own drug enterprise that was independant of Manson's oversight. We KNOW this to be factual.

Bernard Crowe is PROOF that Charles Manson was not aware of Tex Watson's "Business". In fact, it was TJ who answered the phone at Spahn Ranch where an angry Lottsapoppa asked for "Charlie" - TJ thought he meant MANSON because TJ knew Watson as "TEX".

That how Manson got involved in the Bernard Crowe incident to begin with. This was something that TJ told Geraldo Rivera, with Bill Nelson in attendance, but, like You, Geraldo went into his little song and dance routine and tried to discredit TJ.

The trend is there for all to see and Watson was very much his own man before the murders took place.

If you link Watson and Kasbian together, the fog of war begins to lift.

There's more than enough information out there to confirm this.

katie8753 said...

>>>
And who is "THEY"?????
<<<

Watson to handle LaBianca while Manson takes a few others to handle Nader.

Mind you that Manson wasn't going to get his hands dirty. As with Tate, that was someone else's mess.

LaBianca had to happen first because it was a time-triggered event. That was the primary objective and it was also a coordinated event.

The killers would be completely alone with their victims, they could eat, shower, pick out something nice to wear, paint the walls red with blood, do some mutilations and leave when they were all freshened up.

They didn't seem to have any fear of discovery.

Break LaBianca off of Tate and treat it as a seperate event.

These are 2 unrelated events linked together by hype.

katie8753 said...

Okay Jimmy I hear you....but you still don't make sense.

If I know one thing about men, it's that they all have egos.

There can't be 2 men in charge.

You can't say Charlie was in charge of most things, and Tex was in charge of drugs.

Either..or...was in charge of both.

You say Tate was all about Tex.

Then why did all the girls testify that Charlie said "go with Tex and do what Tex says".

That in itself shows Charlie was in charge of of the girls and TEX.

If Tex was so in love with Linda, why did he yell at her to MOVE OVER so he could drive away from Tate?

If Tate was just a "revenge killing" because of some drug burn about Linda...why kill Parent and Sharon???

Jimmy....clarify something for me...

Are you saying Tex was in charge of the family....or was Charlie in charge of the family???

That's what I'm confused on what you're saying.

Because as far as I know, Charlie never lost control.

During the trials, Tex was way off in Texas, not saying anything.

Charlie made the orders.

Charlie is the one who carved an "X" in his forehead.

The others followed suit.

Charlie is the one who shaved his head.

the others followed suit.

Charlie is the one who ordered them to threaten people.

Charlie is the one who jumped on the judge.

Charlie is the one who threatened the lives of Bugliosi, the judge and others.

Not Tex.

Tex never did any of that.

So.....tell me who was/is/always will be in charge......

katie8753 said...

Well Jimmy, I know of your love for Leslie, and I can't help thinking that you think that Tex felt the same love. I told you befoer that she's a user.

An unrequited love. A love that can't be touched.

That love never existed between Linda & Tex. So they had a good "horizontal mamba". So what.

Jesus how many times has that cunt had sex???? She's spit out at least 4 kids?

She wasn't in love with Tex.

I don't care how many tapes you come up with.

I don't believe anything that comes out of:

Linda's mouth.
Tex's mouth.
Charlie's mouth.
Leslie's mouth.
Susan's mouth.

That about sums it up.

Jim...

I saw TJ speak regarding the Crowe incident, during the "family re-union" show, which Geraldo aired.

TJ spoke right at the end of one of the segments... it's actually right on the blog here somewhere.
I believe it was MattP, who alerted us to the footage quite some time ago.

I agree it was quite revealing, and yes... Geraldo did make a joke of it... and quickly changed the subject.

BUT... TJ never spoke regarding Tate... not at length anyway... unless I missed that part.

You just posted the audio footage earlier today.
I haven't even been home all day... maybe others haven't either.

Moreover... Casey Anthony has been a steady topic here for a while...one which Katie has perpetuated... and, although I myself, have also completely tired of the topic... it's not necessary to call folks dummies.

<<<<

There was nobody officialy "In Charge" of anything.

People there at the ranch looked up to Charlie and even TJ said the very same thing. If anything he was more like a big brother to them.

He played guitar, sang, and tried to get his music published and his message out. He almost accomplihed that all on his own and through his connection to Dennis Wilson.

>>>>
You say Tate was all about Tex.
<<<<

Yes, i certainly do.

>>>>
Then why did all the girls testify that Charlie said "go with Tex and do what Tex says".<<<<

Because Watson told Manson what happened with Frykowski and that "HE" (Being Tex) was going to settle it.

Keep in mind that Beausoleil had already fucked up on his issue with Hinman and Charlie didn't want to get involved with that.

This ties directly into what Manson told Geraldo when Susan came back and told him what happened up there. It was quite obvious that Manson was not pleased about what went down.

I've already gotten into the house and how it was handled and how there was almost nothing written in blood there. It's not at all like what previously happened at Hinman where the intent was to blame the black panthers.

>>>>
If Tate was just a "revenge killing" because of some drug burn about Linda...why kill Parent and Sharon???<<<

Why kill Marina Habe?

Why wasn't the Guest House searched? This goes into the role of Mr Garretson which is still not fully known.

When Tex went up to that house and did the deed, there was alot of anger in those attacks. It was brutal. The overkill tactics on Frykowski and Folger alone are enough to indicate that this was "Personal" in nature.

This ties into the Jeanne Mallett testimony where she was asked the question:"Was he (Referring to Tex) kind of aggressive" and her reply was "Yes".

This is quite contrary to the "Happy go Lucky" image that Barbara Hoyt tried to paint about Tex Watson.

Tex only brought those people with him who had a close personal association with Linda Kasabian.

There was plenty of room in that car for more people but i honestly believe that Tex was expecting light resistance as indicated by the small amout of rope he used and the fact that his murder companions were female.

>>>>Because as far as I know, Charlie never lost control.<<<<

That's not true. People were coming and going and the need to get to the desert was more imperative.

>>>
During the trials, Tex was way off in Texas, not saying anything.<<<

That's right. So all the media had to focus on was Manson and the girls and Susan's Grand Jury Testimony that was mysteriously leaked to the press.

Tex Watson became the invisible man.

This was during the trials and it was a show of SOLIDARITY on everyone's part to stand with Manson. The trial was complete horseshit. People were threatened to lie by the DA and all kinds of sleezy deals were made to get people to testify.

MANSON was the target. Justice came 2nd.

TEX WATSON WAS NOT EVEN THERE !
WTF !!

The trial was a JOKE and it wasn't taken seriously by anybody.

Judge Olders daughter went to school with Patricia Kreninkel - Nobody said boo about that.

It was all about getting a conviction of Charles Manson for the murder of Sharon Tate - nevermind if Tex isn't around.

What a crock of shit.

Can you blame these family members for backing Charlie in DEFIANCE of this ridiculous court proceeding?

They stood together, in good times and in bad, and they did what they had to do to call attention to this charade of a trial.

Anonymous said...

You have to jump off of doing what Bugliosi had done in blaming Manson for everything.

You can't blame Manson and excuse Tex Watson.

Tex Watson's actions, starting with Bernard Crowe, clearly shows that this cat was off and running and Manson literally walked into this one and actually ended up saving that girls life. She would have surely been raped and killed had Manson not gone there to clean up Tex's mess.

This is where the real story starts.

>>>

<<<<

I shouldnt have to come up with anything. It should be quite obvious that there's something there.

All i can is, based on my own perception, is that people are very locked into theor own vision of what happened and are reluctant to view things from a different angle.

If you're blaming Manson for everything, then i'm just totally wasting my time here. Seriously.

Not that it really matters now, 41 or 42 years later. i really could give a rats ass about rewriting history.

I just want Mr Watson to get the long overdue attention that he so richly deserves.

That's MY motive for stiring up the mud here.

I told you how Tex was behaving prior to the murders and you keep inisting that Manson is in charge when Watson was clearly off doing his own thing. I can't help you there if you hold onto Manson as the root cause.

Skynyd, i like your blog. Your members are a swell bunch of people but i've grown tired of swimming upstream.

It's not worth my time to try and make people open their eyes and look at the details a little closer.

I wanted people to focus on Watson and on Kasabian because that's where the real foundation of this horror is.

Listen, that's my 2 cents.

The books keep coming but the bullshit never ends.

I go with what TJ told to Bill Nelson because TJ makes a hell of alot of sense and he knew Manson up close and personal.

If you can't acknowledge the mindset of Tex Watson at the time of the murders, then you're dropping the ball.

Tex was running his own little drug operation at that time. He wasn't selling wigs anymore. He was moving up in the world.

What can you do?

All i can say is that it's been a fun little visit but i still you think you guys are way out in left field by just outright rejecting the Watson/Kasabian connection.

Nader was no fluke. All the guy did was have sex with Linda so that really narrows down the playing field.

The perpetrators and the victims all knew each other in one way or another. This was not random killings. There are much sense in what Hippie Scholar says.
I don´t think Manson was behind the murders. That HELTER SKELTER thing was a smokescreen and that smokescreen was the only way to tie Manson to the deeds.
Anyway here is a small clip when Manson confess he had met Sharon Tate before. He claims he met her at Dennis Wilson´s place and also at Elvis place. If Manson was around then it´s not so far- fetched assuming he had some of his friends with him; but Manson don´t snitch.
Manson and his friends was often invited to partys with Hollywood celebrities. But of course after the murders not many wold admit that. Neil Young was one of the few that confessed he had been together with Manson. Manson also did audition for Young who thought he had talent.
Allegedly Neil Young also gave Manson a motorcycle; but I don´t know that for sure.

Those had to be the after pics.

Not much one can do with the bars.

Maybe a San Q gas chamber sequence.

I do not remember seeing some of these life pics. If everyone has,
sorry but I always find looking back at pics of the family puts myself back reading "the family" when i was was 12ish.

Just reminds me how young most of them were to be so fucked up.

So true! That's how i feel about the rocks on the slope directly across the road...in the upper left quarter of the Spahn photo, to the right of the left telephone pole...the rock slope with the v shape in the center of it....if only those rocks could talk and tell us what happened just before the old Ford rolled out of there on the night of August 8, 1969.

Unlike nearly everything else on that side of the road, they're unchanged from 1969 and haven't been disturbed.

We always see the same aerial photo of Spahn from across the front, so this is an unusual view and great blown up a bit. Thank you.

Jimmy, it seems to me that there is a growing group of people pushing this theory that Tex was in charge of everything. I know it's probably rooted in the desire to get Charlie out of prison.

Personally, I don't know what he'd do if he got out. I guess he could collect social security and get medicaire, as long as that lasts. He's at the age now where he's gonna need more and more care in his final days.

Anyway...I just don't buy this picture of Charlie as the little "Oliver-type" and Tex as the "evil Mr. Fagan".

I don't subscribe to the Helter Skelter motive. I've said that before.

That being said, I'm not going to keep arguing with you.

I don't believe Manson knew Sharon Tate. Period.

As far as I know, Elvis lived in Tennessee. When he was out west, he was in Vegas. Don't remember Charlie hanging out in Vegas much.

This just keeps getting better and better. Next we'll hear that Manson was hanging with the Kennedys at Hyannis Port, or dancing with Princess Grace in Monaco.

Don't sweat it Bob.

It's a public blog, and everyone is welcome.

I really don't care what someone's opinion, history, sexual preference, religion, race, gender, fantasies, mental state, or thoughts regarding Manson are...

As long as folks don't blatantly insult others, for no apparent cause... I'm good.

As I told one person via e-mail:
It's a public blog, and I can't control who visits, or what they post... nor would I want to.

When you get into "comment moderation", and "private blog" stuff... it always sucks.

Who wants to post a comment... and wait 2 hours for the administrator to "approve" it?
Your comment posts 2 hours after you write it.
It sucks.
Folks like to blog in "real time".
Besides... I don't need that kinda work.

Hopefully, if everyone can stay 'cool"... it won't come to that.

Also... I haven't had to ask anyone to leave yet... and, that's preferrable.
I don't want to be "the bad guy".

Folks... let's all just exercise common courtesy, regardless of who walks through the door.

As I always say:
"If I only allowed the folks here, whom I agree with 100% of the time... I'd be here alone"! LOLOL

Hi, i'm not sure what you mean by inside. I was referring to the fifth photo...the travel trailer.

Now that you say the tv trailer was next to George's house, there does appear to be a trailer next to George's house...in the spahn photo enlarged. So the travel trailer in this photo just may have been the trailer next to George's house and may be where Sadie watched the news.
And where Hoyt watched tv also.

My previous thread was not directed at you... other than the part where I said "don't sweat it Bob".

You've never proven yourself to be a troublemaker, so, I'm really not sure what this is all about.

katie8753 said...

Whoa, these are nice photos...

Okay if nobody is talking about the case I'm getting back to the big "C". And I mean a four letter word that starts with a "C" and ends with a "T". HA HA.

Well, Casey's attorney offered the Anthony's, Casey's parents, to be a "decoy" on her escape.

They quickly refused. Of all the nerve. Well...I guess her parents were good for something. To be a shield if someone started shooting.

You know, OJ got acquitted. We all knew he was guilty. But the defense shot holes in all the prosecution's theories and ended up with the biggest mess of all.

And OJ ended up, like Karma suggests, back in prison for good.

Because people who think they "got away with it" will do anything they want. They think they're "above the law".

Now if you wanna talk about Robert Blake...that's a different story.

His wife was a USER and a LOSER. She had scammed many men before she married Robert (don't know why he even married her) and then had a kid with him to "seal the deal". If he ever booted her, she could get child support.

Bonnie Lee Blakely. That woman wasn't worth killing. Read up on her if you haven't.

I don't know if Robert Blake did it or not, but I do know that there were 100's of people who would have liked to. There was a long line of people.

Back to Casey...

Like so many have pointed out...if Bugliosi had prosecuted her, she'd been given the death penalty.

Mr. Bugliosi! Where were you when we needed you????

katie8753 said...

If Jess Ashton had only prosecuted the Manson Family trial, they would have all been found "not guilty" and would be living the high life by now.

Double Jeapordy. You can blab all you want, and nobody can do anything about it.

Charlie would be a billionare by now....with all of his mutterings and scat do-be-doo-yahs.

But....Charlie was stuck with a Deputy DA that knew how to work it.

I guess it's the toss of the coin...

Baby-killers get convicted in 1972.

Baby-killers go free in 2011.

Maybe Charlie lived before his time.

Or maybe Charlie should get with Casey and find out how it's really done!!! Remember Charlie...no remorse....none at all.

HA HA HA.

I´m not so sure about that. He could very well been at Evis place at a party;that dosen´t mean necessarily that Elvis was home.
I think Manson is more truthful than you would expect from a jailbird. Manson dosen´t have to lie or brag about his involvement with the rich and famous because he is not really interested in that kind of life. It was those kind of people that wanted to have Manson at their homes and partys. It was fashionable in those days to be together with an outlaw. Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys is a typical exampel of that. But Manson in the end rejected that kind of lifestyle.
Manson: "I don´t trye to go up town and be something fancy, I can, but I find more truth in the world that I live in than the tinsel."

It's a bit like learning to live with your neighbours, Katie. Sure you can say whatever you want to them (within the law, that is) but if you piss them off don't expect to be able to touch them for a cup of sugar when you need it.

What I'm saying is do your thing, but do it with a little respect for others. Respect the otherness of people who don't share your values without cussing them to hell. Throwing your toys out of the pram helps no one.

Social Media is in its infancy and unfortunately the overwhelming comments left on any given comments section are negative and inflammatory.

Face to face, at least in my personal experience, people aren't like that. Something happens under the cover of anonymity where they say the most vicious things.

Many people are frustrated with the happenings of daily life. But men and women of good will should always rise above.

>>>>"Face to face, at least in my personal experience, people aren't like that. Something happens under the cover of anonymity where they say the most vicious things".<<<<

Very true Tom, very true.

Things do seem to escalate much faster online, than they would in person.
I'm not sure why.

I guess it's easier to forget, there's actually a person on the other end.

I also think a lot is misinterpreted.
When you see someone's face... you pick-up on social cues, such as humor, etc.

For whatever the reason... the online world is just "different", than face-to-face.

George Carlin has a famous skit where he states:
"Did you ever notice... the degree to which someone is an asshole, is directly proportional to how physically close they are". LOL

He explains:
"If you're in the grocery store... and the guy is in the next aisle... the guy is a f#cking asshole".

"If the guy is at the end of your check-out line... he's kinda an asshole".

"If the guy is right next to you... (he whispers under his breath, real soft)... this guy's an asshole".

Leave it to George to make humor from reality.

TomG said...

Remember, in 1995 most people did not know what the internet was.

In a little over 15 years, we can communicate with just about anybody on the planet in real time.

So let's take up that challenge and embrace it. Anybody can be small and mean, making up for failures in their real life.

Let's rise above all dat. Let's exchange information and ideas freely without insult. If you wouldn't say something to someone's face, then don't say it online.

George Carlin, God rest his salty soul. He had a way of looking at the worst and stupidest aspects of humanity, not just funny, but humble. You knew he was usually talking about himself as much as anyone. He made it so easy to laugh at your own dumb behavior. I miss getting his take on current events.

Hey Lynyrd, thanks for restoring sanity here. As i've said elsewhere, the illusion of anonymity online can lead people to act a fool sometimes. It's a drag, and i like that this blog has been open and friendly. Good leadership can be a crappy job, but it makes a difference. You are appreciated.

As for what we "can" say; I've always figured you can measure yourself by what you do when you think no one's looking. It's not about what's allowed to say, we are all free all the time. But what do your words say about you? When given the chance to have your say, what have you got? If it's just an opportunity to abuse others and spew venom with impunity, that says something about you, to me. It colors everything else you say, in my eyes. I really value the way the internet allows me to exchange ideas with a wide array of people. In a forum like this, your ideas are your face - not your race, gender, age, looks, or any other accident of genetics. At least, it c a n be that way; and that's what i want from blogging. I am not looking for a place where i can be shitty and get away with it.

Too many places for that as it is, IMHO.

That's my two cents, (and I used "you" in the general sense, not directed at anyone in particular).

One Love, ya'll. :)

Jim called me "Geraldo" and "tabloid", and in-turn, you called him an "idiot" (on my behalf).

In the grand scheme of things... very small potatoes... and as I said already... I know your intentions were good.

I have the undesirable task, of trying to keep everyone happy... while simultaneously... trying to keep everyone from killing each other.
Unfortunately, at times, it gets overwhelming... and I sometimes say the wrong things... to the wrong people.
I'd probably do well, to just keep my mouth shut sometimes... and let nature take it's course.
Even when I do that... someone will get upset, and say I'm "condoning".

Believe me Bob... what you see on-blog is only the half of it.

At any rate, if you're upset with me for any reason... I apologize.

Imagine THAT... Manson made it, and Sharon didn't.

I still can't believe this story.

Society is really gonna give the "Bogeyman" a star??

I don't believe it. LOLOL

Kimchi- I will look up that video....I had the record "Sit Down I think I love you" but it was done by Donny Osmond- it was on the Pupply Love album :)

How long was the band together? Did they mostly play in San Francisco?

They sound like they were a fun band...

katie8753 said...

Lynyrd I don't know if this is true or not, but according to the article, it's gonna take place on August 2.

Hey Lynyrd, chalk me up one more on the wall of fame. HA HA.

katie8753 said...

The article says "The honored celebrity has always been required to appear in person at the special inductee ceremony where his or her star was being placed, but the board will waive the rules for Manson. "We don't expect Corcoran State Prison to let Charlie attend his ceremony in Hollywood, and we've heard that he wouldn't be interested in coming even if he was allowed."

That's interesting that Charlie wouldn't be interested in attending the ceremony even if he could. You'd think he'd eat that up.

Don't they put their handprints on there????

katie8753 said...

Yes Debra Tate was trying to get Sharon a star on the walk of fame but didn't succeed.

I didn't really think that Sharon was talented enough to get a star, but it really is a slap in the face the Sharon that Manson could be.

Upon further inspection...
I'm formulating serious doubts about the legitimacy of this article.

If you review this... you'll see that the author lists zero legitimate sources.
This information must have come from somewhere?
Where?

Beyond that... he doesn't even provide names, for all the quotes he uses throughout the article.
He just says:
"The rep"... or "she".
Who's "the rep"... who's "she"?
Do these people have names?

They're bold enough to approve a "star"... but not bold enough to have their name quoted in the news release?

Hmm...

Well... if it is true... you heard it here first! LOLOL

I'm sincerely disgusted by what has happened to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The original "inductees" were fabulous... very deserving... enormously talented people.

Unfortunately, it's gone from a very prestigious award... to a farse.

In recent years, it seems they'll select anyone... just to have enough inductees for the new season.

I say... if you've only got one or two candidates worthy... then just induct one or two.
If you have no one worthy... then skip that year altogether.

They've watered-it-down so much... it's insulting to the many "deserving" inductees.

It cheapens the award... robs the deserving musicians of their glory... and the hall is compromised.

Mr. P., I did see a commentary on how they awarded the stars on the Walk of Fame. It has indeed turned into a ludicrous affair.

It used to be an honor to be picked to be on the sidewalk outside of Graumann's theater, but in the last 40 years or so, it has just become the higher's bidder's reward.

I've also read (and seen in person) that Hollywood has become a drug-infested world, and the sidewalk outside the world famous Graumann's has just become a haven for drug addicts and prostitutes.

I did read somewhere that the city of Hollywood was trying to clean that up. Don't know if that happened.

Anyone else know?? Californians? Kimchi, Marliese, Lynn?

Yes, the stars pay, but it's not like any celebrity with the money can go buy one. There is a nomination/application process and stars are awarded...with consideration for certain criteria...their history of charitable activities for one example. The star can't nominate himself/herself, and not everyone nominated is accepted.

It used to be $15,000, then 25,000 and now is 30,000. Celebrities with walk of fame stars don't have a problem with the fee. It's still an honor and a respected tradition for many in Hollywood, and brings a lot of publicity.

We were in Hollywood for the Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks concert at the Hollywood Bowl in April, had dinner before the concert in the Hollywood and Highland Center...and right in front on Hollywood Blvd was Rod Stewart’s star! It was fun, we were on the way to see him, and there was his star. I loved it! It's Hollywood!

And then...we walked around the back of the Hollywood and Highland complex to get the shuttle to the bowl but we were too early so decided to walk. Lo and behold, I looked up and there was the Magic Castle...OMG...a Tate LaBianca site and we're on the way to see Rod Stewart. The site of the infamous apt, where Tex says they used to get stoned and watch what was going on next door at the Castle is now a sweeping lawn and parking lot for the Magic Castle. But Hollywood is old...some of the sidewalks and street areas worn...so it's very easy to see where the apts had been. Seeing the Castle and the surrounding area, I thought of it for a moment but no way was I going to let thoughts of evil Tex Watson interfere with Rod Stewart under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl!

katie8753 said...

Thanks Marliese for explaining the Walk of Fame process. I couldn't remember what exactly was involved, but I knew it was a lot more than slapping money down and "boom" you're in.

Ahhh...Hollywood... it is what it is.

I think of Hollywood back in its heyday, back when the studios had all the stars under contract. Now those were movie stars...back when there were only movie stars. No TV stars or Reality Show stars.

Ahhh...the good ole days. HA HA.

I LOVE Rod Stewart! He can still put on a good show.
