Time to Move-On!
As everyone knows by now... Google Blogger had a meltdown, and several comments were lost.
At this point, all other functions seem to be operational, and I highly doubt those comments will ever be retored... so, it's time to "move-on".  I'll get a new thread up, as soon as I can... and I encourage everyone, to pick-up where we left-off.  Sorry for the inconvenience, and lost comments folks.  Feel free to comment on the older threads as well.  If you experience any further problems posting, or otherwise, please let me lnow.  Peace... Lynyrd

Wow... I can post! LOL

Hello friends.
These issues are effecting all Google Blogs.
It seems everyone has lost a couple threads, and some comments.
Also, the ability to post comments has been off-and-on, for 24 hours.

Supposedly... according to Google... the threads, and comments will be re-stored following "schedueled maintenance".
We'll see...

Sorry for any inconvenience.
Please don't go making several changes to your computer.
It's not your computer... believe me.

Peace... Lynyrd.

PS:
Feel free to comment here (while it's working) to entertain yourself, during the "blackout".
Any good jokes?
Stories?
Qiups? Quotes? Anecdotes? LOLOL

Sorry friends... I know this sucks, but, it's beyond my control.

Google is claiming that Facebook has thrown a curse on them. Give me a break! Google is a curse in itself.

Wow that's quite a contortion! Ouch!

Okay...did you ever hear the one about the Pope & Raquel Welch. Well yada, yada, yada then he said "well those aren't buoys".

Okay, what is this, an audience or an oil painting?

Aw, I don't get no respect. HA HA.

Well... my threads are back!

Unfortunately... all the comments are gone. : (

It's kinda like when you get your wallet back, with no cash in it.
LOL

My apologies to anyone who lost comments on the John Waters thread.
We lost about 17 great comments due to the recent "Google Meltdown".

I'm sorry... it was beyond my control.

If I remember correctly:
Those who lost comments were Pristash, Circumstance, Ruckas, Poirot, Katie, Bob and myself.

Sorry, if I forgot anybody.

We also lost 6-8 comments on the "Bobby CD" thread.
I remember Lynn, Mary, Katie, and Bedpan made posts.
Again... my apologies.

Hi Lynyrd! All the comments are "supposed" to come back according to the good people at Google, who have probably been programming for 36 hours now while consuming nothing but coffee and doughnuts. Poor bastards.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Thanks for the information Patty.
I hope you're right, and this ends soon.

I was following the "google help forum" updates for the first 6-8 hours... and then gave-up.

At one point they said:
"Some Blogger users (we estimate 0.16%) may have encountered additional problems specific to their accounts".

I must have been part of that particularly unlucky group.

Twice I was assigned a new user-name... which I've never seen before.
Luckily, they were both (at least) male names. LOL

Three times, I was told (when trying to open my main page)... "the blog you are searching for does not exist".
However... "the URL is available, if you'd like to start a blog".
Huh?????
NOT a message you wanna read as a blog operator! LOLOL

it's interesting how difficult it is to find information on this meltdown when searching with GOOGLE! try searching with yahoo search or some other search engine instead - - and you'll find all sorts of things. lol! the expression 'covering one's tracks' comes to mind. or am i just paranoid?

Hi Bedpan.

As of September 2010, or something like that... you can no longer contact Google directly for Blog-related issues.
Your only resource now, is to leave a post/comment on their "Google Help Forum"... and wait for one of their 4 (or so) administrators, to hopefully come across your problem/question/issue... and respond.

The "Help Forum" is essentially a chat room/blog itself... SO... in the meanwhile... while you're waiting for a legitimate response from one of the "administrators"... a dozen bone-heads, try to answer your question in-correctly...
which is further maddening.

ALSO...
When they (the administrators) finally do get to your question... they rarely answer directly... they generally refer you to another thread, where the question has already been asked, 3 years ago... 'cuz 1,000 people are generally experiencing the same problem simultaneously!
They answer the question once (for everyone)... and you gotta find the answer yourself.

Bottom line:
It's essentially a waste of time... and the real message is... we don't have enough help to assist everyone... so, just cross your fingers and wait.

Col's blog is freaking whacked right now, posts all out of order, only some of the comments restored, people commenting on half threads, You'd think things would come back in big chunks, not piecemeal but maybe e-booger is like a big hard drive that needs a good defrag (?) Patty knows not.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

"At least the price is right"

LOLOL LMAO.
Yeah, I know huh?! LOLOL

I think it needs a lot more than a "DeFrag". LOL
: )

Wait... am I still Lynyrd?
Let's see...

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Yup... still Lynyrd today.

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Maybe this is just one big experiment, to cull-back the number of blogs by 20%.

They're probably cruising the blogs right now, to see who's bitching the most... and "poof"... you've made the "hit list"! LOL

'Course, if that's the case, I've made the list 3 times already. : )

He's probably living in a nicer area, than most of us bloggers.
So much for our "justice system". LOL

BTW...
Have you guys/gals seen where Maria Shriver has seperated from Arnold?

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

The sooner the better Kimchi.
It's 11pm here, and I'm working a double shift, tomorrow.

No pressure though... LOLOL

LynyrdSkynyrdBand said...

Kimchi...

One of my first threads, compared the prison time Tex has done... to the time Manson has done.

Manson has done much harder time than Tex.
It doesn't hardly seem fair.

I mean granted Tex has had much better behavior "in prison", than Manson... but who cares?
Aren't they there for the crimes they committed on the outside, first and fore-most?

Heck... Tex is lucky to even be alive!

Now, he's a "minister" of all things? ...and has the run of the facility???

If I was a victim's family member, that would just go up my ass side-ways.

Kimchi said...

You can't compare the two areas (as far as locations) one is desert (Corcoran) and this is the Sierra Foothills...cherry and Walnut orchards everywhere...shame..shame

katie8753 said...

I don't know how to put this nicely, so I'll just put it.

I'll tell you something. Manson and Tex and all the rest used to live in Sunny California, and used to have the run of the sun.

Now they're incarcerated because they used up that time.

They decided to kill folks.

Tex might be in a nice place, but he's still in prison and always will be until the day he dies.

I don't care if he looks out the window and sees nice things, he'll die in there.

And there's not a Goddamn thing he can do about it.

He lost the freedom to roam. Fuck him.
