I saw George Carlin live around 1986. The opening act, was Judy Tenuta... ya know, that whacky chick, with the accordian. George was a complete scream. It's not just his words, his facial expressions, and body language are clutch.
I saw Jim Breuer a couple years back. He was very good... but nothing near George Carlin. He didn't even use an "opening act". Breuer just came-on stage, with a completely cold audience, which I thought was kinda lame.
Jerry Seinfeld called Carlin, one of the "Mount Rushmore's" of comedy.
If you've never seen the Seinfeld interview regarding Carlin, it's really worth watching... good stuff.
I LOVE George Carlin. I've been watching him for years and years. Ever since he was the "hippy dippy weatherman", I think on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
I don't know how he can deliver all that so quickly, and never miss a beat. He knows how to "cut the fluff" and get down to the heart of the matter! Gotta love him!! HA HA.
Okay this is how George Carlin handles hecklers. He doesn't even try to be politically correct and I think he makes it perfectly clear. No apologies needed.

I got to meet George Carlin once on a night when he was particularly cranky.
But he was fabulous, as always.

AHahahaha
HAHA. That video came out on the heels of Michael Richards having to apologize for an altercation with a heckler for using the "N" word.
George Carlin would never apologize, nor be asked to.
Long live King George!!! LOL.
